Lindsey & Danielle

I have an awesome friend. Her name is Danielle. We both love photography, christmas time, Big Sky Cafe, our boyfriends, and going on adventures. So what do I mean by “adventure?”  The dictionary defines it as an exciting or very unusual experience, but to me it is so much more. It is a chance to hang out with a great friend, let go of everything on my mind, and shoot for fun. That’s not to say I don’t have fun at every photo shoot I do, because trust me, my clients know I have fun! lol. But an adventure is free of expectations and rules, there is no clock and no guidlines to follow.

Being able to shoot for myself is huge. When life starts to get a little overwhelming, you start to reach a point of insanity, and you feel like a headless chicken, take a moment and do something you enjoy. For some that could mean..painting, taking a walk, knitting, sitting down with your favorite cup of hot tea, scrapbooking, playing with your kids…

I just want to take pictures.

So that is what we did. We drove around, scouted out some really cool locations, and shot away! This post is Part 1 of our shoot. Danielle also took photos of me! Ah! I am SO not used to being in front of the camera, and I can’t say that I particularly like it, haha. However, I did need some new photos of myself and the bonus is that I am put in YOUR shoes, so I know how you feel. :)

But until I get those photos and have a chance to edit them, here is my friend. I had so much fun taking these! I really believe they represent who Danielle is, inside and out.

Nicholas ~ Senior 2011

This is Nicholas and he is rad. The second I showed up to our shoot and saw that he had his guitar case with him, I was ecstatic!:)I LOVE when clients bring something personal to a shoot. Yes I can sit there and take your picture all day long, but if you have a passion…and I get to capture you doing something you truely love, well, then you just made my day.:)

Nicholas is an extraordinary individual. And I mean that. He is lucky enough to have lived all over the world, and decided he wanted to spend his senior year in California. (His favorite place to live was Africa!) He is a sweet guy and I had a lot of fun with he and his mom in San Luis Obispo for our shoot. <3

Avila Beach and San Luis Obispo Family Portrait~

Well, it’s that time of year again. The weather is finally starting to get chillier and stay that way! Everybody is getting geared up for halloween with costumes and pumpkins. You know what this means…it’s time to schedule your christmas family portrait!:)Before you know it is going to be time send out those always loved Christmas Cards to your friends and family.

Wendy and Shannon are sister-in-laws who are on the ball.:)They contacted me about having portraits done of each of their families as well as getting their children together for a few!

We started out with Shannon and her husband, and their super sweet boy Stone at the Avila Pier.:)

Stone is SO cute!

<3

He makes my heart melt.

Shannon brought along this adorable hat for Stone to wear!:)

Needless to say, about an hour into it he learned how to really pose for the camera;)

He even got to skateboard!

This sweet face is Stone’s cousin Sydney.:)

And she is precious!!!!

Wendy preffered a more rustic/barn look opposed to the beach. So we headed to my favorite barn location is SLO!

I could have taken her picture all day!

Cousins!:)

Wendy brough along this insanely cute tutu for Sydney to wear for her formal “One Year” portaits!

I could not be happier that she did….

The End!

Now shoot me an email so I can tell you about the FABULOUS deal I am offering for Christmas Portraits this year and so that we can schedule your session!:)

Have a super wonderfully awesome day!

<3

He is going to be the sweetest, cutest, toughest, most awesome baby boy. I mean come on, look at these genes! I have had the pleasure of shooting Nick and Ashley’s engagement potraits, their wedding, and now their baby bump! They also took advantage of my First Year package, so they will have photos of this sweet boy to be from 2 weeks all the way to year! yay.:)
