i cannot wait to show you more of this bea-ut-iful wedding!
i am related to one of the most amazing people on this planet. seriously. how lucky am i?!
my cousin Angie has been battling cancer since she was 14. it has taken her leg, 1 and half lungs, and has now gone to her brain. i could go on and on about how much cancer sucks….but i am going to take a cue from the awesome angielala, and be positive.
angie has been a very talented writer for as long as i can remember. she started channeling all her negative emotions and feelings into writing and journaling. her words are so beautiful and elegant, you would never know they were coming from a teenager! although, she is 20 now!i am a very very proud cousin.
so, if you would like to do your part in paying it forward, you should buy her amazing book titled Illuminations. CLICK HERE to purchase it. angie has decided to donate all proceeds to A Kid Again to help provide fun to other kids with pediatric cancer. im telling you, she is just amazing.
you can also follow along with her most current journal updates on Caring Bridge.
i love you angie girl.
love, cousin lindsey
i have had this written and sitting in my ‘drafts’ for a while now. for some reason i just never added the pictures and published it.
2 days ago on June 15th, 2011, my beautiful cousin i just wrote about passed away…
i am headed to Ohio to say goodbye with my Mom today.
before Angie passed, she wrote one final letter to her family and to her friends… CLICK HERE to read it. again, if you are interested in her book, the link is above. Also, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be directed to, “Angie Sayers” A Kid Again, 777 G Dearborn Park Lane, Columbus, OH 43085. http://www.akidagain.org “Your donations will help children with a life threatening illness enjoy some quality time together and have the chance to be A Kid Again”
i would like to leave you with some words Angie wrote:
“Today I’m living, and oh! My heart sings with joy for the days that follow. Life is precious, whether you have a straight road planned and stretched before you as far as the eye can see. Or whether, like most people, your road turns and bends into the undergrowth and you have no idea where it leads. Follow that bend, and your heart, no matter where it goes. Mine may go on, to places unmentionable, but everyone’s does, eventually. All roads lead to the same bend, and although we can’t see around the corner, I know there are people who have gone before me that will help me when I get there. Always, Angie”
i love you Angie. <3
