Tyler ~ 2 week session

I love the Groves. They are some of the nicest people that I know, and I am so glad that I get to keep coming to their home to take photos for them! They just had their sweet baby boy on October 30th, 2010. Tyler is so full of personality already! I can’t wait to go back when he is 3 months!:)

Jason & Cori~ Engagement Session

Jason and Cori are absolutely wonderful people. They happen to be friends of mine, they happen to be getting married next year, and they happen to want me to be their photographer.:)

Cori is incredibly sweet. And by sweet I mean carmel and chocolate combined. That sweet. She and Jason just match perfectly together and I could not be happier for the two of them!

The Sunday of our session happened to be the worst day of a rainy weekend we had. The sky was overcast and threatening to rain at any second. We made it through our first location relatively dry, just a few sprinkles, but by the time we got to the next, it was pouring! Thankfully we both planned ahead and brought along umbrellas, I have to thank Cori for being so well prepared with 3 different umbrella options for me to choose from!:)

Jason and Cori, you two are amazing and I can’t wait for your wedding next year!

Doree Elam - Fantastic photo shoot! As always Cori, you look beautiful. The first one with the two of you and the puppy is one of my favorites. So hard to choose when you have so many good ones. #18 with the umbrella is gorgeous too! Love them all!

Nana - All the pictures are great – beautiful subjects and fantastic backgrounds. And – some of my favorite people! Love you–

In front of the camera…

So this is Part 2 of a recent post I did, click here to view Part 1.

I can be a pretty awkward individual. I absolutely love to be behind the camera, telling you that I think what you are doing looks great, your hair looks fab, and you and your loved one could not look cuter next to eachother! However, when it comes time for me to be in front of the camera, fagettaboutit. I am stiff, goofy, just down right awkward.

But hey, that’s me, and I better just deal, right? Thankfully I am very comfortable in front of my friend Danielle! (Or else these pics would not have seen the light of day)! So these were taken by her on our adventure and edited by me at home on my computer.:)

Lindsey & Danielle

I have an awesome friend. Her name is Danielle. We both love photography, christmas time, Big Sky Cafe, our boyfriends, and going on adventures. So what do I mean by “adventure?”  The dictionary defines it as an exciting or very unusual experience, but to me it is so much more. It is a chance to hang out with a great friend, let go of everything on my mind, and shoot for fun. That’s not to say I don’t have fun at every photo shoot I do, because trust me, my clients know I have fun! lol. But an adventure is free of expectations and rules, there is no clock and no guidlines to follow.

Being able to shoot for myself is huge. When life starts to get a little overwhelming, you start to reach a point of insanity, and you feel like a headless chicken, take a moment and do something you enjoy. For some that could mean..painting, taking a walk, knitting, sitting down with your favorite cup of hot tea, scrapbooking, playing with your kids…

I just want to take pictures.

So that is what we did. We drove around, scouted out some really cool locations, and shot away! This post is Part 1 of our shoot. Danielle also took photos of me! Ah! I am SO not used to being in front of the camera, and I can’t say that I particularly like it, haha. However, I did need some new photos of myself and the bonus is that I am put in YOUR shoes, so I know how you feel. :)

But until I get those photos and have a chance to edit them, here is my friend. I had so much fun taking these! I really believe they represent who Danielle is, inside and out.

Nicholas ~ Senior 2011

This is Nicholas and he is rad. The second I showed up to our shoot and saw that he had his guitar case with him, I was ecstatic!:)I LOVE when clients bring something personal to a shoot. Yes I can sit there and take your picture all day long, but if you have a passion…and I get to capture you doing something you truely love, well, then you just made my day.:)

Nicholas is an extraordinary individual. And I mean that. He is lucky enough to have lived all over the world, and decided he wanted to spend his senior year in California. (His favorite place to live was Africa!) He is a sweet guy and I had a lot of fun with he and his mom in San Luis Obispo for our shoot. <3
