oh 2020. i mean, what do we say about a year so insane and so unfathomable? we’re all just left a little speechless i think… it’s like there’s so much to say, yet i’m also just left with no words.
except one. LOVE. love. L-O-V-E
that’s it you guys. i just want love.
and if what we want is love, then we should all just live in Evan & Jill’s wedding day. the sweetness of an elopement is beyond comprehension. time moves a little slower, stress levels are a little lower, there’s less pressure and the fact that we are there for one specific reason is never forgotten.
every single thing about this day was filled with JOY and LOVE and looking at their images makes heart fill with so much happiness. i always come away from a wedding day with lot’s of little favorite moments, but far and away one of my favorite moments i’ve ever been apart of was when Jill and Evan were handed a video that their family made for them. as the faces of all their closest friends and family popped up on the screen, those that couldn’t attend in person because of this covid-19 pandemic, they all wished them a happy wedding day and said that they were sorry they couldn’t be there to celebrate but that they were so happy for them and wished them well… you GUYS. there wasn’t a dry eye at that table. I WAS CRYYYING. (secretly behind my camera as i snapped away of course.)
so here’s to 2020. the year that LOVE WINS.
and to the new Mr. & Mrs. Matthews, thanks for letting me be there with you guys, i loved every moment. <3
